Back to Jerusalem 2008 was our pilot year for this project, and consisted of a two week evangelism program that was divided into two parts; 1) a 5-day conference in Jerusalem where local believers and international participants gathered together to learn how to bring the gospel back to Jerusalem and the Holy Land, and 2) a 6-day outreach time during which all participants were divided into small teams and, together with a local church, went out to every city, town and village of the Holy Land

Our first year was one of the biggest outreaches in the history of the Holy Land. Tens of thousands of evangelistic literature was distributed publicly, and thousands of people heard the gospel. It was a wonderful opportunity for the Church here in the Land to come together and unite for the work of the kingdom, and 80% of the local churches were involved.

Back to Jerusalem 2009 is the next step. It will begin with a 3-day conference in Jerusalem (beginning on the afternoon of the 8th of July and ending on the morning of the 10th), aimed at equipping and empowering the Local church and all those who come from abroad to participate in the outreach. Our main speaker will be the well-known speaker and author, Josh McDowell. After the conference we will begin the outreach portion, in which we will send everyone out to the city of Jerusalem for prayer, distribution of the Jesus Film, and sharing of the gospel with people on the streets.

After a day of touring on the 11th, all participants will be divided into small teams and assigned to work in various cities, towns, and villages across the country, (i.e. Jerusalem, Nazareth, Bethlehem, Haifa, Tel Aviv area, Ramallah, Upper Galilee region, and more). Most teams will be working in cooperation with the local churches, but some teams will be going to areas where there are no churches at all.

On the last day of the outreach, July 16th, there will be an exciting, full day of touring Jerusalem, culminating in a massive, life changing celebration on the Mount of Olives in which we will close up the time with a commission to both the local churches and all international participants to go and preach the gospel in their respective countries.

What to Expect
You will have the opportunity to walk where Jesus walked, preach where Jesus preached and touch peoples lives in the very cities and places where Jesus’ love touched and transformed them.

You will be a part of a historical spiritual movement in the Holy Land that has never been experienced since the times of Jesus. You will experience the word of God in a way you never have before in its original locations.

On the last day of the project, you will join a life changing gathering of all participants and local believers on the Mount of Olives in Jerusalem for a massive celebration, communion and commissioning to go out into all the world to preach the Good News of Jesus Christ and make disciples.
