The Middle East in general and the Holy Land in particular have been termed the “last frontier of Christian Missions”. Over 2000 years ago, on the Mount of Olives in Jerusalem, Jesus commissioned His Church to carry the Gospel to all nations. With all due respect to the Christian witness in this land however, since that time the Kingdom of God has flourished outside Jerusalem, but has never come back as powerfully as it did when it was sent out. The state of the Church in the Holy Land is weak, and in desperate need for the church worldwide to come along side it.

Today, more than 11 million people (both Jews and Arabs) live in Israel and the Palestinian territories (7.5 million in Israel and 3.5 million in the West Bank and Gaza). However, the total number of Evangelical Christians in Israel, the West Bank and Gaza equals only about 3,500. If you do a total of all Christians in the Land, including all denominations, both Nominal and Evangelical (and Messianic Jews), they equal about 185,000, or 3.5% of the total population in Israel and 1% of the total in the West Bank. (It is important to differentiate that when we say Christians we are referring to those of Arab descent, and that those of Jewish descent are referred to as Messianic, of which there are about 10,000 total).

The Body of Christ in the Holy Land, this tiny minority within a minority, has been constantly praying for the day when the Gospel will return with power and anointing. Because of this vision, the project of bringing the Gospel Back to Jerusalem was born.

Back to Jerusalem is not some kind of end-time theology. It is a call from God for the local Church in the Holy Land to preach the gospel and make disciples according to the Great Commission. Back to Jerusalem is not an “option”. The mission cannot but be accomplished. It is a MUST.

What is Our Goal?
By God’s grace and power, we want to reach 250,000 individuals this year. And, as a result, we want to see 60 new small groups started for new believers in order to disciple them, build them up in their faith, and then train them to evangelize others. And, with God’s help we want to see at least a 20% growth in every church in the Holy Land, equipping pastors and key leaders in the country to carry on the spiritual work.

In addition to the main outreach in July, we organize other evangelistic events and relief work to reach the people in the refugee camps of Aida, Jihasha (in Bethlehem), Sho’fat (in Jerusalem), Ramallah, Hebron and other remote areas.

What About You?
Because of the urgency of the hour, the Church in the Holy Land needs to be empowered to bring the gospel Back to Jerusalem and the Holy Land, in the same power and spirit with which it went out. Like Jesus said, “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few”. With this in mind, we invite you to:
- Come and help bring restoration and reconciliation with God to the people of this Land.
- Come and support the living stones in the Holy Land to accomplish this mission.
- Come and take part in this exciting gathering.
- Come and bring the Gospel back to the very soil on which Jesus first instructed His followers to make disciples of all nations.
